Equipment and Gear is an optional add-on that protects your speakers, turntables, mixers, monitors, lights, and other essential items. If your gear gets damaged or stolen, this coverage can pay to get it repaired or replaced.
Personal & Advertising Injury
Limit Per Policy: $1,000,000
Personal and advertising injury insurance covers claims involving defamation, false advertising, or copyright infringement. Insurance Canopy can cover the cost of legal fees and damages if your DJ business is sued.
Additional Insureds
Unlimited additional insureds for just $10

Do I Need DJ Insurance if I’m a Part-Time DJ?

How Do I Add an Additional Insured?
You can add an additional insured to your policy when you purchase your policy or anytime after via the online dashboard. With an Insurance Canopy policy, there is no limit to the number of additional insureds you can include.
What is a DJ Certificate of Insurance?
A DJ certificate of insurance details your coverages and limits, in addition to providing Insurance Canopy’s contact information. Vendors, venues, promoters, or event organizers may require you to provide this as proof of insurance before booking.

What Equipment is Covered by Gear and Equipment Insurance?
Equipment and gear insurance (also called “inland marine”) covers the moveable items and tools you need for your business if they’re accidentally damaged or stolen. This can include:

- Turntables
- Amplifiers
- Laptops
- Photo booths
Does My Policy Cover Theft?
If you add Gear and Equipment Coverage to your annual policy, you have coverage for stolen property. The theft must be verifiable, and you must have a police report for the stolen items to be covered. Mysterious disappearance, unexplained loss, and theft by employees do not qualify.
