What Is Entertainers Insurance?
Entertainers insurance is general liability protection designed for those who entertain, perform for, or otherwise interact with an audience. Also known as public liability insurance, it’s built to safeguard you and your business from the costs of third-party bodily injury and property damage claims.
Insurance Canopy’s liability insurance for entertainers provides general third-party liability coverage as well as personal and advertising injury coverage, products–completed operations coverage, damage to rented premises coverage, and more — all in one basic policy.
How Much Does Liability Insurance for Entertainers Cost?
Entertainer liability insurance with Insurance Canopy starts at $18.50 per month or $199 per year for an annual policy. Single-event policies cost as little as $59 for three consecutive days of coverage.
Annual policies also allow you to customize your coverage with optional add-ons, including:
- Equipment and gear coverage (also known as inland marine) from +$7.50/month
- Cyber liability coverage +$8.25/month
While these optional coverages are not available on event policies, both event and annual policies allow you to add additional insureds (like a venue or event organizer) for only $10 at any time through your user dashboard.

Also known as public liability insurance for entertainers, this coverage is designed to protect your business from third-party bodily injury or property damage claims that occur while interacting with the public. For example, a fan tripping and falling over your power cord, a piece of equipment damaging a venue, or a spectator getting hit and injured by a prop.

Equipment and gear coverage (also known as inland marine coverage) is designed to save you time and money by helping pay for repairs or replacements if your equipment is damaged or stolen.
Damage to Premises Rented to You
Limit Per Policy: $300,000
This coverage applies to unintentional damages you may cause to spaces you rent to record or rehearse. It can also apply to the stages and surroundings where you perform.
Personal & Advertising Injury
Limit Per Policy: $1,000,000
Personal and advertising injury insurance helps cover claims related to things like defamation (libel and slander) and copyright infringement, which can be especially important when your business involves creative expression and a public image.
Products Completed Operations Aggregate

What Happens If My Equipment Gets Damaged or Stolen?
If you add equipment and gear coverage to your annual policy, you can get help paying for repairs or replacements to your business’s personal property, such as equipment, supplies, or inventory.
This additional coverage costs between $7.50 and $15 per month with your annual policy and can cover from $2,000 to $5,000 per policy year.
Note: This coverage does not cover structural property, like buildings, and is only available as an add-on to annual policies.
